Dr.Joseph K.Han

Dr. Han is a South Korean native who immigrated to the United States with his family in 1973. Han and his family called northern California their home for the remainder of his childhood. From his youth, Han has not been a stranger to change nor the challenges that come with it. At a young age he was forced to learn an entirely new culture and language by being placed in a classroom where everyone and everything was foreign to him. He has learned that being challenged is the source of his success and has become passionate about inspiring, challenging and encouraging individuals and organizations to be the best they can be. For the past three decades, Han has been a part of several organizations where he moved from being a student custodian to vice president and chief operating officer.

While working with both public and private organizations, in union and non-union environments, he recalls two things that stayed consistent through his transitions. First, every organization has great people who are underutilized. Second, he experienced a great sense of fulfillment when working with individuals and organizations to create a place where everyone can thrive to achieve their aspirational futures.

Personal Interests

Dr. Han enjoys hiking mountains, running trails, kayaking, or fishing. In the past several years Han has made the personal goal to run his birthday age in miles. "Each year, the birthday run takes a little longer," Han says. Can you guess how many miles he'll be running this year? And like anyone else, to relax Han enjoys a good nap on the reclining seats at the movie theatre or "curling up" with a good NON-fiction leadership book. Han currently lives in the Cleveland area with his family.
